Hipster Highlife.

My friend and I decided to go walk around Westport (the hipster capital of Kansas City) this evening. But, we thought we should try and fit in -since everyone has that little bit of hipster in them somewhere- by buying some cigars and walking around while smoking them. We went through the town conversing about "good ol' days" and things that made us miss hanging out all the time. We talked about the thrilling tales of mutual friends and such things.
After we'd finish our cigars (which were delicious.) we went into everyone's favourite book store, which of course is Half-priced Books. We went through all the Doctor Who and Star Wars books, then the records, Alice Cooper, The Who, Will Smith(?), all the goods. After that we went to the anime section, of course! We discussed that for a while... We then went back to my house and reminisced about ourselves and other people. I say all of this to conclude on a good thought. My friend shared this with me, you can't be sad if you were never happy, and that thing that made you so sad will never go away until you find something that makes you happier than you were. It is in sadness that we find what makes us truly happy. Just a thought. Love people and you'll never be as sad as before. People may not love you back, but if that throws you off course maybe you need to discover what love is.

A slight introduction.

As my first official post, I find it appropriate to give you a little foreknowledge of myself. I am a simple human being, who enjoys doing fun things with fun people and by myself. I am easily occupied, and easily humored. My life revolves around a few different things each as intriguing as the last. At least I believe so. God is always the one I try to put before everything else, but like I said I am human so it doesn't always work out that way.
My passions however are: soccer, music, people, and anything to do with nerdiness! I want to have this blog -more for personal reasons than other people- so I can express my life and ideas. I am an outward speaker, so naturally this blog will help my thought processes. I will also be posting photos of life and photos i thought turned out cool. I just got a camera (so give me a little slack if they suck) and really want to learn how to take extraordinary pictures. It just sounds fun!

I will leave you with this quote from The Signature Of Jesus, by Brennon Manning,

"We often think of wisdom as the sum of knowledge, insight, and learning we have accumulated in the process of living, but the wisdom i speak of here is your own existential experience of the love of the Christ crucified."
